Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays

Over Thanksgiving I had the opportunity to reflect on everything I had to give thanks for.

It is incredible to think that I am celebrating my tenth year of private practice after leaving several years of academic practice.  I am also celebrating twelve years of success in fighting my personal battle with obesity.  I have been incredibly blessed and touched by the patients who have entrusted me to care for them during their weight loss journey.  While I continue on my own weight loss and maintenance journey, I get to experience new beginnings.  Pilgrims on this journey as well as seasoned veterans of the fight against obesity.  I have had the opportunity to meet interesting and exciting people, share their successes as well as their frustrations.  I have tried to be a good advocate for those struggling with this disease of obesity both locally and nationally.

I have been personally blessed by all the support of our patients and our practice has continued to flourish.  We continue to try to grow to accommodate the needs of our patients and are looking forward to adding an additional surgeon in July.  The camaraderie of the staff in my opinion is what makes everything work.  While we are all capable of having bad days, I still am excited to be able to come to work each day and see new friends as well as old experienced friends in this fight.

We are all indeed fortunate to be able to make the choices we need to achieve and maintain our health and I encourage all friends to continue to advocate not only for yourself but for those who follow after us.

I would like to wish all our friends and family a very safe blessed holiday season and look forward to an even brighter new year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
