Winter time Exercise

Being active and exercising is always a little tougher in the winter, than it is when it is nice outside in the fall and spring months. Even though it is harder to find a good exercise routine in the winter, it is still very important to remain active during the bitter cold months. Here are some tips to help yourself stay active and warm during the winter.

  • Invest in a gym membership. There are several gyms out there that allow you to do a month to month membership instead of signing up for a yearly contract.
  • Be active with your kids. If you have a gaming system like Wii you can get games that will get you moving. For example the dance games, sports games (tennis, boxing, etc), and there are even actual exercise routines.
  • Exercise videos. There are several programs out there that you can do at home and do not require equipment.
  • Go ice skating
  • Indoor rock climbing
  • Trampoline park
  • Body weight exercises. Do body weight exercises such as lungs, squats, pushups, plank, tricep dips, etc.
